CORRECT WHEELS WANTED - 1954 CADILLAC 62 SERIES CONVERTIBLE

Recommended Posts

I would like to acquire a correct set of five (5) steel rims of the correct measurements to use for cross-country driving on tubeless radial tires

The car came with the El Dorado wire spoke wheels,

but I would also like to mount a set of steel original-type rims with proper wheel covers.

15" Diameter

5-Lug

5" Bolt Circle

Width - 6" between Flanges

Offset - 1/2" (0.500mm) POSITIVE - meaning mounting surface is closer to hubcap than to brakedrum

Backspace - 4-1/8"

Frontspace - 3-1/8"

Thank you in advance for any and all assistance,

and if a good set or five may be available at a modest (cheap) price

Marty,

Per Hollander Interchange the following wheels are the exact match to what you are looking for:

'53-55 Cadillac 60S, 62

'48-52 60S, 60, 61, 62, 63

Size 15x6 5-5"

There are a few other options listed as "fits".  Let me know if you need that information as well.

Thank you Dave,

I also needed to know the offset and backspace - and here is what I came up with:

I dug through the shed this afternoon and found that the original ElDorado wire spoke rims,

as well as the original steel spare wheel were that same spec as you noted

15" Diameter (5 lug / 5" Bolt Circle

6-1/4" width calculated between  the flanges - 7-1/4" total external measurement (so probably 6" intenal / 7" external)

4-1/8" backspace

3-1/8" frontspace

1/2" (0.500mm) calculated Positive Offset
