Sometime in the middle of the 1967 model year, California-area Buick dealers began offering a sporty pillared coupe that they touted as “The IN car for Golden Staters on the GO" – High performance and Buick quality at “economy car” price.” List price for the California GS was $3273.68 as delivered in Southern California.
"All GS California's in 67 were built on the Special V6 2 door post body but ordered with all the 340 go fast goodies. The California GS was meant to be the poor mans muscle car so they were built on the V6 chassis so insurance would be cheaper. They were all no frill bench seat cars with the 260 HP 340V8 and a 300 automatic with a vinyl top and all the GS badges. the Vin is a Special V6 and the Data tag shows V8 this is the way it is suppose to be and the motor is numbers matching.

Do some research this is a real deal California GS and an extremely rare and hard to find car."
