'68 Riv License Plate Light

I am wanting to replace my 68's license plate light assy. This assy has a female socket plug on the end of the wire, correct? The closest repro match I find is the 70-72 Chevelle light assy with the male socket on the end of the wire. I suppose I can cut my old socket off and splice it onto a new assy. Does anyone make a repro unit with the correct socket or does anyone know of an NOS source?
