Shop Manual 1929 Dictator

Dumb question but are there any shop / service manuals for this vehicle? I am having no luck in my searches, Google and the forum. I do have the original owners manual that has a lot of good info but no torque specs, etc.

You need to be a bit more specific. Are you looking for the Dictator Six model GL or Dictator Eight model FC. There were Service Bulletin supplements for both. As for torque specifications no one used or listed those prior to c.1938 so they will not be included in any service info you will find.

Yes it is a Dictator Six Sedan, not the Coach (I think) or Regal (I know). Since there seem to be many around here that have pre 36 Studebakers, are there some general torque specs that are used with these flat heads? Rod bearings, main bearings, head bolts, etc?

For torque specs you usually have to use generic values based on bolt size, thread TPI, whether it is oiled or dry and assuming they are Grade 2 bolts. Here is a general treatise for starters: http://www.boltscience.com/pages/tighten.htm

Do not want to burst your bubble but there was no shop manual for the 1929-30 Dictator GL. The Service Bulletin update (that I posted page one above) would probably be helpful and is available.
