lancemb
Would love some suggestions on this. On 1957 tail lights, there are 2 little clips that hold the stop lens on and keep it from rattling, and another 2 on the backup lens. However, I have never seen one on the bottom of the backup lens, but there is a spot for it; it just appears to take some larger type. Problem is, these clips are almost always missing, and they don't hold very well. The steel used is far too malleable and is not made of spring steel, so it's no wonder they are nearly always missing. Is there a clip I can buy now that would work for this? Have you found a solution of some sort? Not aure what other years had a similar setup, but don't remember anything line this on other years whose taillights I've handled. 1957buickjim
Lance, What I have used is a small dab of clear RTV silicone at the attachment points on the inside of the housing with the lenses. Works great and you don't have to worry about it falling out or off. Also cures any buzz, squeek or rattles with the silicone. Good luck.
