1929 130 handbrake

Recommended Posts

Can you put a 135 (left hand) handbrake in a 1929 130? The 130 had the handbrake on the other side of the transmission. So the question, can you put a left hand one in? How hard is it? The reason being, is putting in a Detroit 4 speed.

Thanks,

M. Whitehead

Mike , It shouldn't be a problem. Do you have the assembly ? You will need the link that goes between the handle and the arm on  the trans. Let me know if you need parts. They aren't hard to come by. PS You are going to need the correct bell housing that came with the Detroit and you will need to have the drive shaft shortened.
