Bill Jewell
Hello, I have a 1930 Franklin that appears to have the starter stuck to the flywheel. I have been running and driving it recently and now the starter appears to be stuck. Any suggestions on getting it loose? thanks! Bill
f147pu
Have you tried turning the engine with the crank?
mikewest
Bill Loosen the bolts up on the starter, put the car in high gear , and get a friend and the two of you rock the car back and forth . The Bendix is stuck . This will unlodge it. You might pull the starter out and see if the Bendix drive is damaged, the spring sprung or stratched or the loss of any of the Bendix bolts. Good luck , Not a big deal Mike
