jpage Posted April 18, 2016 Share Posted April 18, 2016 (edited) If you're referring to the steel tape, it was unfinished in its natural color or it may have been nickel plated for protection. It is a spring type steel. I believe that the bracket that attached to the windshield frame was nickel plated. The body casting is unfinished.I think the crank handle was painted to match the finish on the dash.
