Claude Lavoie
Would any Buick aficionado help me rewiring my 1931 8-67. I need a wiring schematic as the actual wiring looks like a bowl of stale spaghetti. There is also what looks like a relay just underneath the cowl panel, on the interior side of the firewall. No wiring is attached to it, but I'm sure there is a purpose to it (headlight relay perhaps?). Thank you kindly. Claude Lavoie#48421

DonMicheletti
One of the not so nice things about, at least the 31's, is that the back up light circuit is directly connected to the battery. Thus if you leave the transmission in reverse when the engine is off, you'll end up with a dead battery. Guess how I know - many others too. In rewiring, I'd recommend you route this circuit through the ignition switch (maybe with a fuse too) so the light will not be on when the engine is off. Claude Lavoie
Thank you so much for the quick reply and the "back-up lights" issue. Kind regards, Claude Lavoie
