ricosan
Hey Guys, I need some help. I have a 1932 Marmon 8-125 and I am in the process of an complete engine rebuild. After a close examination of the Damper, it looks like the rubber is hard and cracked so I think it;s a good idea to have it rebuilt while the engine is down. I've found 2 businesses that rebuild harmonic balancers. The Damper Doctor in Redding, CA and Dale Manufacturing in Salem, OR. I don't know anything about either of these businesses. I found them listed In "Hemmings Motor News" Has anyone on this forum used either of these rebuilders? If you have had a good experience with another rebuilder that I haven't listed, I would like to hear about that too. ricosan
Owen_Dyneto
No personal experience but I have several friends who have used the Damper Doctor with satisfactory results.

ricosan
Thanks for the replies. It sounds like the damper doc is a descent player. Just didn't want my balancer to disappear down a dark hole! ricosan
Owen_Dyneto
Decent, yes. Descent, I don't know.
