Me and my new 63 Invicta wagon

Well, I have been forum hunting for the past few weeks, and it seems like this is the most active one around for old Buicks! So anyhow, I spent the weekend getting my new to me 63 Rose Mist Invicta running. Has been off the road for 3 years, but the brakes weren't locked up, and save for some fuel delivery issues, fired up and moved under it's own power. Has been in my girlfriends family since '96 along with a whole slew of late 40's+ Buicks. I saw it and love the color and the interior. I can only imagine that there are very few in this color, fewer still with the Rose Tartan interior. I hardly see any Invicta wagons, but now I have one to call my own. I had a 93 Roadmaster as my last full size wagon but the rust got too bad too quick up here in Maine. This one does have alot of dirt and some rust going on, mainly in the inner fenders, the drivers floor pan, and the skid plate under the back bumper, but I am going to go for it. Her dad was keeping it to use the 401 for something else, but I convinced him to give it all up as one piece.

Pretty much looking for a forum home to guide me through hunting up information, tips, and in case there are any similar ones out there getting parted out!

I was able to hunt up fabric for the interior somehow, so the blown out drivers seat will be repaired. Not sure how deep of a resto I want to go with on it. Likely back to driver quality. Looks to be complete, everything works except the rear window (and don't see a switch up front to test from that location, didn't work with the key - guess I might have to pull the panel and actuate it inside there)

Nice Buick! You're welcome here. And wdlcomed to join tbe Buick Club of America. Buickclub.org

Next year's National Meet willbe fight down tbe road, in Allentown PA. That car would make a nice addition to the party.

I was on there yesterday at the Buick club - still mail in applications only it looks like! Regardless, the car I am bound to keep for the long haul since it was pretty much a gift to me. Might not be 100% by that time but Allentown is a pretty close drive. They still have as-driven in awards I think too, but be nice to get some eyeballs on it!

I had a similar car, the power window switch is above the radio. It should by marked "accessory" they were prone to breaking.

The switch and wiring is most likely there, just missing the lever to operate.

Great find ! And glad you saved it from being parted.

haha not tying the knot unless we decide to have some kiddos! I have 2 from a previous and we are pushing 40s so likely not going to happen!

and yeah, I am going to spruce it up a bit. Would love to see the numbers on how many were made in this color. I saw the stats on the same year Riviera and 0.1% of production was in Rose Mist, I can't imagine of the 3495 made there would be much more than that percentage, likely even less with the rose tartan interior vs straight vinyl. I should have some pictures of the car when it got pulled out of the woods in '96 - my lovely lady helped her dad and took pictures of the process.

Here are some more Buicks he has laying around, including that '54 (sharp eyes Skyking!). He also has alot of older nailhead engines laying around. All for some sort of project TBD

Also I found a snap of the dash controls Superbuick and you are correct. Labeled ACC and missing the switch. Ill have to try and hunt some levers down! Thanks!
