JoelsBuicks
On my '36 Roadmaster these are for holding the free end of the visors after you swing them to the side.Joel
Guest outlaw car man
Bob, the end of the visors swing around there and clip in the holes to hold them in place as Joel says. Same on my 33. Sandy
bob duffer
Ok thanks guys , for some reason i thought they were something to put a rod in for hanging clothes.
Guest outlaw car man
Probably was used to hang clothes in the depression, haaaaaa. In one of my 33 90s, there was two of the visor clips, in one, only on the driver's side. This was an option to have a visor on the passenger side. The hole was pre drilled for one in the wood frame, if installed for the passenger. Kinda cheap for a big 7 passenger / limo sedan. EX funeral car, probably figured nobody would sit up front . ?
Marty Roth
Yup, you got the right answer - if the free end of the visor was swung to the side to block the sun coming in, the visor could vibrate and possibly damage the swivel. The side-mounted attaching piece minimized potential damage, as well as steadying the visor.
