Babyboomerboy
Will a Autolite 4100 carburetor bolt onto a stock four barrel manifold that has a Holly teapot 4000 carburetor on it now? Thank you
carbking
Not unless the haystack Holley is sitting on an adapter. The haystack (teapot) Holley utilized the original 4-barrel mounting footprint which was 3 3/4 by 3 7/8. This was industry standard beginning 1952. Different makes changed to the rectangular flange at different times; but most had changed to the rectangular footprint by end of 1958.One notable exception was I.H.C. who used the haystack on large engine heavy duty trucks up through about 1975. I.H.C. used the carb on lots of 549 CID engines. In alphabetic order; Carter, Holley, Rochester, and Stromberg all produced 4-barrel carbs with the 3 3/4 by 3 7/8 mounting footprint.Jon. It appears you know a lot about these carburetors. What would you choose to replace the teapot? Thanks again
Bleach
You will need a Ford ECZ 9425 B manifold in order to use the 4100. You can read more about them here: http://m571.com/yblock/intake.htm
