serialnumberplate
Hi everyone! Can you give any information regarding McLaughlin model D63? Maybe production period, engine and body types or even a photo?Thank you in advance!
Mark Shaw
How early is the car? My references show model D Buick touring cars in 1907 & 1908, and again in 1916 & 1917 with various body styles. But there are no model #63 designations in any of those model years. I guess my reference does not include McLaughlin Buicks. Edited September 26, 2014 by Mark Shaw (see edit history)

serialnumberplate
Thank you for your response! The only thing left from the car is the serial number plate.I have some more questions:1. What is the correct make of the car: McLaughlin or McLaughlin-Buick?2. Why the model is called D-6-63 if the plate shows D63?3. Why the model is called "Light Six"? Because of the engine type?Thank you.
sean1997
1. I think it just called McLaughlin until 1923 when it became McLaughlin-Buick2. The -6- just indicates it had a 6-cylinder engine.3. Light Six had a 6-cyclinder engine, but was smaller than the other 6-cyclinder cars and didn't have a Buick engine.http://www.oldcarscanada.com/2011/04/1917-mclaughlin.html
