Guest bill222dogs
Dose anyone know and easy way to adjust the left rear brake on these cars without the special tool needed. I had to remove the drum, which is a job with a puller and need to replace the wheel cylinder. These types of brakes seem like a job to get right. I have looked into articles on how to adjust but one seems more complicated then the other. Thanks in advance
keiser31
You can try this home made tool as a caliper....click on the images a few times to enlarge.
ply33
You can get it pretty good with nothing more than some wrenches and some patience: http://www.ply33.com/Repair/brakesThat said, I get them as close as possible with my Ammco 1750 tool and only play with the minor adjustors and feel for the last step.
