HistoryBuff
I just discovered a good article on the Phantom Corsair of Rust Heinz (an heir to the ketchup folks) but I didn't realize that it had been restyled a bit by Goertz and also this article says it went from Herb Shriner to Harrahs (now the National Automobile Collection) but back in the 70s someone I knew was photographing it in Los Angeles so I wonder if it was bought or sold down in Los Angeles back then? I am asking the question here because it was Cord powered. I am interested in knowing the lowest price it was ever offered and when, maybe it was Shriner who got the best deal. Here's my reference source.http://automotiveviews.wordpress.com/tag/rust-heinz/Any news about when this car was a bargain appreciated. West Peterson
It sounds like a three-owner car, with it still in the former Harrah collection. The article says nothing about the car's movie career as the "Flying Wombat."
