nearchoclatetown
Yes, a 50-50 mix is the best for winter AND summer protection.
Owen_Dyneto
It will help keep corrosion under control, but pure water has slightly better heat transfer properties than antifreeze/water mixtures.
Guest billybird
Correct me if I'm wrong; but isn't a Model T going to eventually boil/steam the radiator contents out anyway?
Larry Schramm
Not necessarily. On my truck it was running hot and had coolant/water leaking around the water pump seals. When I went to the 50/50 antifreeze mix it stopped running hot and the water pump seals stopped leaking. The only reason that i could see it boiling out is if there is a problem in the cooling system. Remember when those cars were new they used alcohol as antifreeze. Guest
Remember if you do use anti freeze to use the concentrate type because your 50/50 solution should be mixed with distilled water to control mineral build up.D.
Guest FordoFilez
Hi thanks for the tips. One more ????.. My Radiator cap has a hole in it.. Should I use this cap or should the cooling system be pressurized? thanks again.....
nearchoclatetown
A T was not pressurized when new.
