Guest sintid58
I am looking for a fan motor for the underseat heater in my 55 Special. The motor has a 1/4 inch shaft. Still not sure of the direction the motor turns but the stud spacing is 2 5/16 inches. The wires come out of the top (fan side) of the motor and it is a single speed unit with 2 wires, one ground and one hot. Is there someone out there that rebuilds these. Any leads would be appreciated, thanks.
old-tank
SidTake it apart, clean and lubricate and it will last forever. I have never replaced one of these.Willie
Guest sintid58
Yeah Georgei K says he did this also. I can not turn the motor at all so hope I can get it apart. It is pretty sad looking after spending 54 years on the road side of the car. I soaked it with PB Blaster this morning and will try to pull it apart when I get home from Jury dut today. If it works I will probably take the one on the firewall apart and clean it while I have everything apart just to make it work better. Thanks
50jetback
These used to come up frequently on ebay.Haven't checked in awhile but would be surprised if they are not still appearing as N.O.S. items.
