paul55
This has been identified as a continental cylinder head as used on Durant & Star automobiles. Is this correct? Can anyone use this?

Layden B
This is from 1955 Victor gasket catalog. I believe it is a match, if so your head is Continental W4 or related model. The head gasket listing in rear of catalog under Victor 425 lists Continental W4. No autos or applications of any kind, would suggest that this is industrial, IE: fork lift, air compressor, electrical generator etc.

durant frank
The W-5 Continental motor was used in the later Star 1926, and 1927. When the 4 cylinder Star became the Durant four in 1928-1929 it used the same W-5 engine.Hope this helps........Frank
Guest david desjardins
do you still have the cylinder head posted in 2009 Paul?I could use this as a spare for my 28 Durant. The casting clearly identifies it as W5 head for W5 engine continental.Do you have any other parts?May I ask how much you would want for it?thank you, Dave D.
