Peter Gariepy
http://minutia-microcarsminicars.blogspot.com/http://www.microcarworld.org/We define a "small" car as one less than 11 feet long and/or having an engine with less than 1000cc engine displacement. How do we define "unusual"? We'll leave that one up to you, but to give you an idea of what we consider unusual from some of the typical makes of cars found in our club include the BMW Isetta, Citroen 2CV, Crosley, Daf, Goggomobile, King Midget, Messerschmitt, NSU Prinz, Subaru 360, Vespa 400, and many, many more. The primary focus of the club is on post-WWII "bubblecars" so called because of their semi spherical shape. Cars like the Heinkel, Messerschmitt and Isetta will give you an idea of what a bubblecar is.
Ed_Minutia
Peter,Thank you for the mention of the Microcar & Minicar Club on the board. As you mentioned, we cover a broad range of makes -- anything that is less than 1000cc or less than 11 feet long. (And we tend to consider anything with 3-wheels as fitting in the "unusual" category, and we include Metropolitans -- just because they are so cool.)The club has been in existance for over 15 years. We are national in scope, but we also have a number of international members. The club newsletter, MINUTIA, is a quarterly printed publication. Recently we have added an online, companion piece -- MINUTIA Online. MochetVelo
How about a front door that opens (Isetta) or a top door (Messerschmitt)? The latter car also had a glass roof (plexiglass, actually).
