Jack_Vines
Greetings, all,FWIW, I have determined the Carter fuel pump as used on the V8s uses the same rebuild kit as most 1950-to-75 Carter pumps used on Fords, Mopars and many others. The bad news is I can't find a source for the kits. Anyone have a source or an idea?thnx, jv.
HH56
There is a thread on Big Kev's site listing a couple of places to buy. If you are looking for OEM lots, the only thing I have is according to info on box, the kit I got from Fred Mauck was mfg by KEM manufacturing in Fair Lawn, New Jersey--part # CK 104. Google has a few entries for KEM mfg making auto parts but don't know if same outfit. The box doesn't look exactly like new you'd see on a shelf today but the stuff inside seems to be fresh. Jack_Vines
Yes, two sources in Hemmings will rebuild them for $60 or $80, when all it needs is a $10 diaphragm.thnx, jv.
mrpushbutton
I only buy kits from the antique auto parts cellar, AKA then-now automotive (www.then-now.com)They are FRESH kits made from new, fresh diaphragm material, made for the chemicals in today's gasoline. Then-now gives great service as well.
