Guest TommyH
people report that happening, because they dont get used. now, according to my audio/video and security systems specialist friend of mine, if the crackle is there still at low volume, your [orblem isnt fixed. they work by the fact that the low-power amplification circuit things, and as volume is increased, more circuit things are added, and the crackle is covered up by the music stuff
Guest tomt
TammyVolume cured issues with mine when I got it.Thought I'd mention something we discussed at Manik's meeting.Itty bitty cell phones were not made when we got our cars. My phone has always interfered with radios. This is the second one that has.If you park your cell phone in the ashtray, Randy showed me how close that is to the radio receiver. This could create an issue. Most recently, it seems to have bothered mine.
manikmekanik
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> Thought I'd mention something we discussed at Manik's meeting. </div></div> Vincent Vega found his radio chatter was being caused by a bad negative battery cable assembly. He was able to manipulate his (-) cable, and affect the static from the radio. Vinny went thru at least 3 radios, to eventually find this out. Guest Tammy
It is interesting...I would have to turn up the volume before because of the crackle etc..but always had the top up. It was horrible to listen too so I always left it off. But on the 3 hour drive home, I turned it up and up and up (I'm hearing impaired)and it was fine. So now I'm not only enjoying the car but the music as well. This whole week the top has been down and my cell phone is usally just there by the shifter/ash tray.Tom I must have not caught that.
