Clamshell1971
New Pictures Below! For Sale - Brand new '74 Olds 98 LS Coupe with a mere 7800 miles on it!This car was originally purchased by an elderly gentleman who had severe driving restrictions due to his age. He passed away in 1982 and the vehicle was maintained by his neighbors. They cared for it lovingly for the next 20 years only adding on about 2000 miles. This is a spectacular ORIGINAL vehicle. It has the original air filter and the radio buttons have not even been pulled out yet. A true time-capsule of 1970s luxury in every way (this car is ready to show). Asking $9500 (Make me an offer, and it is yours).Attached are some newer photos. http://members.aol.com/benbarlage/98.htmlI am also offering my '79 Lincoln Town Coupe with super rare Panoramic Glass Roof. It is a 35k original car owned by an elderly lady. Fully loaded with Jubilee Gold Metallic paint. Both are ready to show (and win). Here is a link to some photos. Asking $8995 http://members.aol.com/barlage1/glasstop.htmlMake me an offer!Merry Christmas,Ben BarlageEdgewood, KY(6mi S of Cincinnati, OH)859-331-3618
imported_Phil Knapp
I don't know about the Oldsmobile, but you might have better response on the Lincoln at the classiclincolns.com website at: http://www.classiclincolns.com/salesindx.htmlMost of us at this site are more interested in Lincoln Zephyrs of 1936 to 1948 vintage. Hence the name: "Lincoln Zephyr Owners Club". Everything else are just "used cars" to us, and we know where to go for them!
48LCCOUPE
Now I feel like my Continental isn't wlecome Phil. happy holidays anyway
imported_Phil Knapp
Quite the contrary, Dave. Continentals are nothing more than custom bodied Zephyrs. Take a peek at: http://community.webshots.com/album/52823282UhMRLv). I've had my 1947 Continental for nearly 40 years. See: http://community.webshots.com/album/33590926dAmhsj). I've been a member of BOTH LZOC & LCOC for over 35 years. I only recently acquired the first Zephyr I don't plan to part out for Continental parts: http://community.webshots.com/album/73152974bRlXIf Zephyrs may not always be welcomed at Continental club meets (i.e. 2002 LCOC meet at Ventura, CA), but Continentals are ALWAYS welcome at Zephyr club meets! I even drove my 1939 Ford street rod to the LZOC meet in Granbury, Texas a few years ago. See: http://community.webshots.com/album/18076335BbfffyTIcr). If it weren't for the Zephyr, there might not have been any Continentals. Likewise, without the Continental, the Zephyr may not have had such a long production run. CBoz
Phil -Personally, I think it's rather funny (and damn ironic) that any LCOC members would look down on the Zephyrs. Some CCCA members "kick" the Continentals, so some Continental owners "kick the Zephyr owners? So who do I kick?
48LCCOUPE
Thank You, that's exactly what I was fishing for . I love solicited comments that seem unsolicited. I am without shame and humility.I thrive on positive banter as you can tell. Thanks for saying what was music to my ears, even tho I had to grauvel a bit and show a sad face but it was worth it!
