one-shot
I need some help IDing some pre WWII parts. I have the two rusted out gas tank halves, seat, handle bars, some gauges, fork/lights, foot rest/both sides and a wheel hub/spokes. A basket of parts. Thanks
CarlLaFong
Seriously?!?!?! You want parts IDed with that description and no pix????
one-shot
I meant to ask if there was a source/help that I could utilize to accomplish this task. The car knowledge of this forum has no bounds.I have discovered that someone always knows some one that knows. I was hoping to tap into that knowledge. I'll post a few photos this afternoon of these rescued items. Thanks
CarlLaFong
When you have pix, you may want to post them on the Jockey Journal as well. Those guys can identify a cotter pin at 100 yards and give you a part number from memory
one-shot
All these parts and a few more were found in the same old car headed for the crusher. I assume they are mostly Harley parts because of the guilty by association rule. Any help would be appreciated.
one-shot
Plugs and cap. Did not know there was a plug produced with Harley Davidson name on it. Neet
one-shot
Carb is a schebler deluxe DLX59, which I think if I researched right is a 1928 item.

Guest danf19
I can ID some of the parts but Mark above is the "expert". Either way, if you decide to sell, I too would be interested in whatever is left. PM sent.BestDan Edited July 7, 2014 by danf19 (see edit history)
Scooter Guy
The guys on the CAI -Classic American Iron - forum (since you probably don't want to join the AMCA) are probably your best bet for positively identifying what you have. I know what some of it is (not interested in buying any of it myself), but those guys would know for sure and you'd have people lined up to buy that stuff if it's for sale. Maybe you've already made commitments to the folks here, which is fine...if not, ask on the CAI forum with those pics. You'll be shocked by the responses! Guest mmasahd
Parts are sold.
CarlLaFong
Hard to believe that stuff was on it's way to China. Individually, I'll bet those parts would have sold for 1000 bucks plus. Looks to be mostly JD stuff. Glad someone bought it and saved it from becoming a Harbor Fright jackstand
