  1. Wow these are beautiful but way out of my price range. Looking for more of a project that's a runner.
  2. Looking for a 1958 Oldsmobile. Prefer Super 88 or 98. Four door sedan, four door hardtop, 2 door sedan or 2 door hardtop, or wagon. Convertible ok as well though honestly I probably can't afford one of those. Not looking for a fully restored one, I can't afford one of those, either. A runner would be preferred. Don't care about the color. Can't have major structural rust. I'm on the East Coast.
  3. Hey 1927 8-82 Brougham, Is that yours now up for sale here: https://www.collectorcarnation.com/Other/182969628/1927-ELCAR-LUXURY-SEDAN-READY-TO-BE-RODDED.html?page=2&offset=11&from=ads_by_day#5
  4. Definitely like the 59 Ponitacs, do you have some details? Thanks! Keith
  5. Hi All, Yes, I'm the apparently 1 person left in the world who wants a 1958 Olds. I've wanted one of these for quite some time, but finally getting to a point where I can have one. This is what I'm looking for: Either a Super 88 or 98 (no 88's please) 2 door sedan, 2 door hardtop, 4 door hardtop, 4 door sedan, or wagon. Needs to run/drive/stop. Must have a title (I'm in New Jersey so titles are a must). Realistically, I can't afford anything that's restored. I work on cars myself in my spare time with whatever money I can scrape up. I've seen a few for sale here and there but they seem to fall into 2 categories: either too far gone or already restored. Would also consider a 1958 Pontiac. Thanks for any help. Keith
  6. I became interested in the Elcar after reading the Hemmings article mentioned earlier in this thread. Of course, the real trick is finding one of these for sale. I am interested in finding one, even an unrestored project. I'm in New Jersey. These are such fascinating and (sadly) largely ignored pieces of automobile history.
  7. That is excellent info Marty thank you! I actually have a couple of friends who were looking for these part numbers, too so that helped them out immensely.
  8. Rusty I'm going to try some different dealerships and see if I have any luck. I would love to have the Mark Cross stuff that came with the Imperial. By the way....I remember you helping me with some tech issues I had on my 51 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe last summer....thanks for the help on that, too!
  9. Wow great information....I do have the service manuals so I'll see if I can find the part numbers and work from there! Thanks, Keith
  10. Have you tried your local Chrysler dealer? You never know your luck, friend of mine got new tail light lenses for his about 4 years ago. Sure did. Got met with the "Never heard of such a car" thing hahahaha. I knew I was out of luck right then and there!
  11. Hey guys, Just a heads up for you Hudonsites, there's a 1941 Hudson Commodore 8 4 door sedan for sale in the Finger Lakes area of upstate New York. No price on it, guy says it's been stored inside for many years. Here's the link for anyone who's interested (it's not mine but you know I'm always looking out for Hudsons for sale) http://albany.craigslist.org/cto/4905684437.html
  12. Looks like your car has the 8 track player instead of the cassette player, correct? Mine has the cassette player. Your car is gorgeous. I currently have one that I'm restoring and I hope one day it'll look like yours! Mine already had the EFI conversion though, but other than that it's original.

  14. Hey Guys, I have an 82 Imperial Frank Sinatra edition that I need to locate a couple parts for (the parts can be off of any 81-83 Imperial). I need: Rear decklid script that says "Imperial" Passenger side front side marker light lens (I think it's the same as the driver's side so that would work, too) 2 front wheel center caps (these were specific to the FS edition, I think, they were crystal pentastars, which matched the hood ornament) Thanks, Keith
  15. Hey Guys, Don't mean to clog up the MOPAR thread with an Imperial, but there's no Imperial thread and it is technically a MOPAR car. Excuses now out of the way, I have an 82 Imperial Frank Sinatra edition that I need to locate a couple parts for (the parts can be off of any 81-83 Imperial).
  16. If anyone ever knows of someone or has a Viking for sale (1929-1931) please let me know I'd be very interested in that!
  17. Hey there Durkis, Thought you might find that useful! I really had to do some digging to find that wiring diagram though. I think I have narrowed my problem down to not getting any fuel to the carb. Next I'll see if it'll run off an external fuel tank and work from there (fingers crossed). Let me know how yours turns out! Yes Rusty has helped me out he appears to be a great source of info on these old Chryslers! Keith
  18. Hi Durkis, Not sure how helpful this will be but I did find a wiring diagram for the 51 Chrysler. Alas, mine still turns over but won't start (though I had it running for about 4 seconds yesterday so I guess that's progress).
  19. Sorry for the lateness of these pictures couldn't get out to my shop yesterday. Anyway this is the stock setup with the 6v system and stock 1 barrel carb.
  20. Sure I'll be out at my shop later today I'll get some pics and upload them for you. If you need any other pics just let me know. By the way the resistor sure is an odd thing, I had a guy who worked for Chrysler for many years look at it and said he'd never seen anything like it before!
  21. Hi All, I may be able to help out a bit with this thread. I just picked up a 51 Windsor Deluxe 2 door hardtop with the completely original setup (carb, heater, wiring, etc....though it is still a 6V system). My engine bay, while a bit dirty, is as it was from the factory without any modifications. If you need to see what what is supposed to go where, what hooks to what, let me know I will snap pictures for you and upload them to the thread. -CarsofChaos
  22. True Ed, though I've had a terrible time finding parts cars.....I'll probably just hang on to the drums
  23. Hi Guys, Okay so interestingly (not sure how interesting this is to anyone) when looking under the dash I found a brown wire (wipers) and black wire (leading to dash lights, clock, and a few other things) had been cut. I spliced them and put them back together, but still no luck. I'll keep stabbing away at this. I decided to keep the aluminum drum brakes, I think they just need some adjusting.
