headlight motors

No other motors work, I believe they were US made so have not looked at foreign cars.
The Fiero and Firebird use a totally different motor. I found a Buick Skyhawk with a single motor that is similar but the mounting studs are way off and the motor shaft comes out both sides. I was able to salvage the big gear from that one.
Usually the problem is the plastic rollers.
Those are available from Eckler's Corvette parts or you can make a substitute.

As Barney mentioned the typical headlight problem is the three plastic rollers in the motor gearbox. They can disintegrate with age or from trying to open the headlight doors when they are frozen shut. Six rollers for ten dollars fixed my headlight problems.
The page http://www.reatta.net/headlight_repair.html
tells how to repair the typical headlight problems.
Also in an answer to post http://www.aaca.org/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=3&t=002494 Barney says he rebuilds the headlight motors for $50 exchange.
