A DA is the regular Dodge chassis, engine, trans, body, just you regular Dodge for that year. The Senior Six is basically an assembled car--This model was seen by Chrysler, the new owners of Dodge as an upscale/ middle priced model.

The engine is a Continental, the trans is a Detroit Gear, the bodies mainly were supplied by Murray. It was a quick way for Dodge, under Chrysler to get an upscale model going quickly. They are excellent cars and are still a lot of car for the money.
