Guest 57Roadmaster75
I've got a headliner for my 1957 Roadmaster 75 coming from SMS soon. I have what is left of the old headliner and all the bows. What I don't have is any idea of what the insulation was like. It was completely removed down to the metal roof when I got the car. Does anybody out there know? I'd like to replace it with something comparable to what it once had. Thanks in advance.
1958buick
Dave, I restored my 58 Special three years ago and removed what looked to be the original headliner. There was no insulation or any indication that there ever was. Les
imported_buick5563
Dave,Since you are in Tejas, I would suggest adding insulation. Get a dynamat or at least that foil insulation from your neighborhood big box hardware store. I'm considering pulling my headliner and doing this, since I nearly caught fire last year coming back from the Nationals last year, even with the AC cranked.Mike
