How refreshing to see some old-fashioned stop-motion animation in the style of the great Ray Harryhausen. It used to be such fun to watch that type of special effects, all done with scale models, extreme patience and gobs of talent. I'd wager the cars aren't much bigger than Hot Wheels/Matchbox Series scale. What a lot of time it must have taken!
