A. Woolf
The pictured trademark is a pencil rubbing off of the transmission case of a 1914 American Underslung. It appears to be a C with one large B and two smaller B's. Does anyone know what company it represents? Also is there soemwhere to find the identity of old trademarks?Alan
drwatson
The US Patent and Trademark office allows online searches of all sorts. It's an art to find what you're looking for. I did a Trademark search and got 49 hits using "BBB". The closest I came to your sketch was at: http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=sji12n.5.47 However, it does not quite look like the right answer, nor do the other 48 hits.Maybe someone can take a stab at it. Also when I put "C" into my search equation it bombs.
