1928 Dictator speedo cable needed

I have had to replace the speedomoter cable on 1928 and 1929 Studebakers in the past. Each time I have had a local speedomoter repair shop make me a cable. I have not found any sources for ready made cables and your best source is a speedomoter shop. Any good speedomoter shop will have everything you need and will be able to put together a cable together for your Studebaker.

Finding a full service speedo shop to fabricate one might be the easiest path like Mark suggests. For sake of conversation I attached a photo of one I had that was probably sold with a large lot of inventory to Bob Kapteyn at Joliet Studebaker parts (Joliet, IL) about 2 years ago when I retired and had to move to a new home in Southern Illinois.

If your browser allows you to zoom in, the text on the carton indicates it was common with several Chrysler and other models of the same age 1930-33. You could spend a lot of time at flea markets without finding one of these. Stude8
