Guest imported_MrEarl
I have begun selling some of the 54-5-6 Buick parts I have drug home over the last couple of years on eBay. 54Roadmasters I want to offer buyers who are members of the BCA and this forum 5% discounts each (total 10%). The hidden benefit I want to accomplish is to refer folks to the BCA website and to this forum through links in the item description. Firstly does anyone see any potential problems with doing this. Secondly can someone please explain to me how to create a link. I thought I had it figured out but can't get it to work when I test it on here before including it in ebay. This is what I have tried Buick Club of America What am I doing wrong. I think it must have something to do with the fact that I copy and paste the respective addresses from the address bar. Any help for this ol' dummy will be appreciated
Guest kevinshea
Gee Mr Earl -- I see that the starting price is 9.54 -- would it suit you better to start everything at 19.54...
Guest imported_MrEarl
Something tells me you been watchin my past bidding. Yea 19.54 was my first inclination but from reading the eBay selling hype, they say that the lower the price you start something at the more attention it will get and utimately more interest and therefore a higher ending price. Sounds like a bunch of bull to me but what the hey. Besides i thought I'd leave it to you to start the bidding at that...$19.54. Or 195.40 would work too. TESTBUICK CLUB OF AMERICAWhatamIdoinwrongdangit
Smartin
Lamar,WHen you are on the reply page, click on the "URL" in the "Instant UBB Code" box next to all the smileys. It will pop up a box that asks you for a web address. THen it will prompt you for the name of the link you typed. It will automatically post the code for you in the reply box. Buick Club of America The code looks like this:

Code:

Buick Club of America

Smartin
Also, since you used HTML code in your post, you need to select HTML code, otherwise it won't recognize it. Look above the reply box when you are on that screen. There is a drop-dpwn menu that says "Make post" , and it gives you options of using either UBB or HTML code, or both, or none. Smartin
If you are trying to post a link from ebay, then either one will work. If you're trying to insert a link in your ebay auction itself, then it will only recognize HTML.

Guest imported_MrEarl
I give up. I tried every which way I could and couldn't get the links to appear clickable. Thanks anyway Smartin, I guess I'm just a dumin. Anyways if anyone on the Forum ends up buyig anything from my eBay listings, you get 10% off. Assuming that most certainly you are a BCA member.
