alsancle Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 My dad has had these wheels for 40 years. They were on a driving car up until a few years ago when he got a restored set. - All are marked Kesley-Hayes on the back- 4 are marked 6.5 width.- 1 is marked 6 width.- Usable "as is" for driver (some peeling chrome, one wheel has a ding in the rim).- Great for cores on an concours restoration- 5 spinners included although one is missing the insert.Buyer pay actual shipping anywhere in US/Canada. Looking for 450.00 or Best offer.
Guest imported_MrEarl Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Al I am very intersted in the wheels. Please email me at victfarm@bellsouth.net I have emailed you.
alsancle Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 I've had some questions about just how presentable these wheels are. I've attached a picture of the worst wheel - the others are nicer. This one is missing the cap on the spinner. You can see the chrome is rubbed off where the stem goes. Also, there is dicoloration on the spoke stems. Right at 11:55 there is a spot which has silver paint where the chrome has rubbed through. I noticed today that some of the discoloration which I thought was the chrome rubbing through is actually dirt. Some amount of time cleaning and silver paint here and there and these will look good at 6 to 10 feet instead of 20. This is the worst spinner and has some pitting.Any questions, feel free to drop me an email. Also, we could deliver them to Hershey (if they are sold) and you could pick them up at the motel (about 5 miles from the field).A.J>
alsancle Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 I should note also that these wheels were used for 20 years and have not been cleaned up in anyway for quite some time. I found sliver paint here and there so at some point they were touched up but that was a long time ago.
Guest imported_MrEarl Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 OK AJ, I better jump.If this is the worse then consider them sold. You drive a hard bargain. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Now is there anyone on the board going to Hershey that could bring these back down I-85 or I-75 through Jawga?
