Mark Shaw
I need a source for the Babbitt and any advice about pouring Babbitt to repair just one rod bearing on my 31 Buick. I think the rebuilt engine in the car may have a blockage in the oil channel to the #6 rod bearing. I have a spare engine & already tried to use a replacement rod without success. When I get the blockage cleared, I would like to pour a new bearing. Any suggestions?Mark Shaw
Tom M
Mark,Give this place a call Hart Machine and ask for Randy. They are doing my engine as we speak. I was referred to them by another Packard owner and also by the gentleman that will be doing some body work for me.
26pack
Mark:I thinm I'm the guy who recommended Harts to Packin31 and I second what he said. They are very good. They did my engine ahead of time and under budget. Imagine that!
