joehalford01
Hey guys, I posted earlier asking about if anyone knew where I might be able to find a replacement front clip for my wifes 88, I pulled the bumper off this morning, 8 bolts. That got me thinking that a radical front bumper would be sweet as we want to really customize this car anyways. Insurance is paying so why not? I got the dimensions off my car but the problem i'm having is that there are no available dimensions on body kit web sites. Has anyone here done this or have any sugesstions? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
manikmekanik
There is a member here who is performing a "smoothing" to his Reatta bumpers, and is using the original parts to create a new look.I have'nt seen any "marketed" body kits, besides gull or swing-up door hinges.I have a front clip or two you could try it with. alexhouston
Many GMs fit up on bumpers. ElDorado and Riviera particularly. The ElDorado sheet metal probably would not look so good but I put a Riviera on mine because I couldn't find a Reatta Front clip.
Guest tomt
Of course if you really want to have fun, look for the guy who put a Riviera front clip on his Reatta. It seems to be pretty straight forward.

joehalford01
Sweet, its good to hear most gm stuff will bolt up, I had a feeling as I had seen that riveria makeover. I don't really care for the way it looks though. I'm going to the junkyard here next weekend to see if i can find an 88 regal, i want to see how the bumpers on those attach and if they do attach the same way I found a decent body kit that they sell for those cars. It's a theory only at this point.
Guest F14CRAZY
The '88 Regal T-Types were cool looking. Maybe that clip would fit...?
alexhouston
Beltway Auto parts in Houston has an '88 front clip for $1850. Too high for me!
