Guest GCheaney
I anyone has a complete core including those with collapsed brush end frameor a couple of pics would also be a help.On these old generators sometimes I can make a replacement if it doesnt usethe distributor drive. The replacement has a very similar look to the OEinstallation.I have a customer that doesnt have an OE for something to go by.Thanks,Glennhttp://www.acewichita.com/

Guest GCheaney
I appreciate the reply. You know what the generator drive coupler on a 917-Athat is attached to the armature looks like, yes? Is the 917-E similar in design or does it use something entirely different?Thansk,Glenn
rbk
Almost all of these generators have problems with the back plate. These were diecast potmetal and crumbled .Someone made replacements.Does anyone know who that was?I had that info on my old computer that crashed.Robert Kapteynstudebaker@mac.com
