917-E generator core or pic

I anyone has a complete core including those with collapsed brush end frame

or a couple of pics would also be a help.

On these old generators sometimes I can make a replacement if it doesnt use

the distributor drive. The replacement has a very similar look to the OE

installation.

I have a customer that doesnt have an OE for something to go by.

Are you looking for the coupling that connects the generator to

the drive????????? If you are I have an old one that you can use

for a pattern to make a new one.

I appreciate the reply. You know what the generator drive coupler on a 917-A

that is attached to the armature looks like, yes? Is the 917-E similar in design or does it use something entirely different?

Almost all of these generators have problems with the back plate.

These were diecast potmetal and crumbled .

Someone made replacements.

Does anyone know who that was?

I had that info on my old computer that crashed.
