PONTIAC1953 Posted May 2, 2006 Share Posted May 2, 2006 hi, cadillac invented power steering in 1927, and didn't use it. chrysler waited untill cadillac's patent ran out in 1951, and introduce power steering. cadillac caught with their pants down, brought out power steering in 1952. you might be able to find a 52 donor car with power steering, add another pulley to radiator fan, have mounting brackets fabricated to mount the pump on your 346 flathead V8.
