peteandpaul
I've been told that instead of using the Buick/GM supercharger oil, you can use a good 5w-30 synthetic. Any pros or cons on this advice. Pete
BUICK RACER
Good question, but I think I would use the GM Supercharger oil. I'm only 10 ft away from a '95 Riviera shop manual and another 10 from a '98 shop manual, I guess I could see what it says, in the mean time some expert will join in with the correct answer. I know my mom's '95 Supercharged Riv has had the oil checked or changed, not sure which. Being almost 500 miles away, i can't keep track of the details. Guest Straight eight
I agree, use the GM Stuff.
JohnD1956
GM charges quite a bit for that oil, but it doesn't really take a lot and if you change it every 50K or so, it is probably not that expensive per mile.
