MichHouseReps Posted February 11, 2005 Share Posted February 11, 2005 My winter car a '94 Park Ave (with standard 3800), has developed a problem. After sitting for a few months, I attempted to start it. The engine fires and runs for about two seconds and then shuts off. Does this have anything to do with the security or alarm? Has anyone had similar problems? The only other thing is to bring up the codes and then start with the fuel filter and work from there. Rattaboy Posted February 11, 2005 Share Posted February 11, 2005 Sounds like the chip in your key is not communicating with the ignition system and your car thinks it is being stolen.
