  1. I broke my antenna by turning on the radio with the car cover on the car, not once but twice (slow learner). Barney repaired it for $25 and paid return shipping.
  2. On the level, 20 feet from wall, back of garage, etc. Measure from floor to center of headlamp, mark this height on wall (piece of tape). Shine light, high beam to wall. Adjust beam to hit mark. Side to side is usually O.K. but stand at back center of car and eyeball, Beams should be straight ahead. High beams only, Low beams will lower and go to right, they take care of themselves.

    Dual Exhaust

Why not scuff that muffler and spray it with high temp black? Make it disappear.
  4. Sell the excess gas to pay for the device.
  5. Link, click on my name and e-mail me, I may have something for you.

  7. You can hone the search down to Reattas only.
  8. If you over-tighten the cover's studs, you will make dimples in the cover's surface. Just snug 'em up.
  9. Use silicon, epoxy gets brittle and cant stand the constant vibration.
  10. As Mongeoman stated above, have it clear coated and make it better than new and never have to mess with it again.

    lug nut locks

A good tire shop has a tool to remove them. Maybe you can beg, borrow or steal it long enough to remove the locks.
  12. As I recall, when removing the taillamp assembly, the license plate needs to be removed.
  13. I have had door dings and hail dents removed through the years on different cars with excellent results.
  14. Tammy, if you replace your top with a color other than white, wouldn't that compromise the value of your Select 60?
  15. Front fenders are plastic as were Cadillacs of the era. Body is steel.
  16. Suede is leather that has been buffed so that the surface is raised, cloth-like. Has a luxurious feel and look. The downside is that it matts down, gets dirty, wears faster than leather with a slick surface. Makes elegant clothing.

    Thanks Jim

"K" as in BUICK on the taillens.
  18. Maybe the former owner velcroed his garage door remote under the dash or under the hood and wired it to the red button with bell wire.

    NAME my car!

These are some names I jotted down when looking for a plate for my street rod. PLYNCARS, HRTTHROB, NSANITY, XLTOY, EMTPKTS. I settled on AHDEOOS.

    Convertables

Re the Chevy SSR which ceased production in the last few weeks. Was built in the same facility (Craft Center) as the Reatta. Was designed as a retractible hardtop convertible from the onset. Not a coupe cut off to make a convertible. The SSR was put on a frame, a truck chasis no less. One of the problem areas of the first year production was, what else, cowl shake. Looks like the General is a slow learner.
  21. Had a new 1948 Ford Anglia. Held 2 quarts of oil. I'd fill up with gas, about 8 or 9 gallons, and put in a quart of oil. Bought another quart of oil to go. When the gas gauge got to i/2, I stopped and poured the other quart in. Never had to change oil as it got a change with every tank of gas.
