Judging Training/Certification

Most National Meets have a judging school the Friday afternoon before the meet. Up until last year, Hershey was an exception but they now have a judging school as well. Depending on where you live, find which meet that you want to attend, be there Friday afternoon, and go to class. Generally these schools are held in a conference room at the host hotel of the meet.

Welcome! The process is really very easy and educational at the same time. As mentioned above the first step is to attend a National Judging School. These are generally held the Friday before a National Meet. The following day, the day of the meet itself you will be part of the Apprentice Judging Team. The Chairman of National Judges Training will offer lecture as well as some hypothetical judging scenarios with actual cars on the field. Following those two activites at the next National Meet you may register to judge. Registration is done in advance and that will be explained to you during the apprentice training. You will placed on an actual judging team with full judging responsibilites. Not to worry though. The Team Captain will be aware that he/she has a new judge and will work closely with you to insure that you are comfortable and brought into the system in a good manner. Welcome to AACA judging, we are happy to have you! smirk.gif
