Governance Change Big Mistake

Gentlemen: Reading the previous thread about allowing Classics to have AC units installed on them is a BIG MISTAKE. People choosing do this kind of after market installation should not be allowed to have thier cars judged at CCCA meets. Whats next in the rule changes after market sound systems.

Chuck: This portion of the post is directed to you. It appears that we have a person posting in this forum that has been bannded by the CCCA board in a previous action. Why is the person being allowed to post in this forum, his postings should be deleted. PFH is posting under Pierce 66 now.

1. The rules are clear about air conditioning. It has always been allowed on a CARavan with a "doctor's excuse." Those notes are pretty easy to whip up, so being pragmatic, the CARavan committee decided to just be realistic and let someone alter up their car if they want to. It is, after all, their car.

That said, in judging there would be a significant enough authenticity deduction for such an installation that the car could never win a CCCA First Place. Although there are some things that are automatic disqualifications, this is not one of them. The thought is we?d rather have our members participate (and not win anything) than not participate at all.

Ultimately, what someone chooses to do to a car is their choice.

2. As for ?Dog Spot,? we have figured out who he is. He was previously banned by the folks at AACA, and is indeed under their watchful eye. (Mine too). It's been almost a year. In the spirit of good fellowship and forgiveness, he is getting a second (or third) chance. So far I haven?t seen anything to be concerned about. If that changes, we can always do the dance again.

I hope we don't have to. Things are much more fun when everyone is nice.

Latest update on our friend Mr. Hartman aka Pierce 66, Lozier, etc. He was officially banned by AACA again, after getting another chance. I am sure he will continue to try and gain access to our forums but we will be diligent in removing him. His act has become way too tiring. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
