Guest Stllrng.
I was working today, and at noon I was heading out to go for lunch, when I got a funny feeling, and headed for home (about 1/2 hour away). I pulled in the driveway and drove up to my garage, and sure enough some one had been trying to break in! The door knob and door casing was messed up, and the crow bar was laying on the ground. I think I must have arrived and scared him off. I was lucky this time, so I installed a new deadbolt and called to have a security system installed. Just a reminder for you people to remember not to take anything for granted!
6219_Rules
Good job, Sir! Glad you listened to that inner voice and headed home. I think we have all had such incidents in our lives and it is good to know in this era of Lojak and such technologies that the spirit of man can still read the wind. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />Ducking under cover quickly.... <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />
Ron Green
When I built my new shop I had the security system from the house connected to it (seperate zone). Another thing you might want to think about is to make a fire alarm zone out of the security panel. Most security panels have at least 6 zones so making one dedicated for fire is not a problem. Use heat detectors not smoke detectors to avoid false alarms. I know I sleep better at night. Your were lucky this time.
