davenc
Concerning the oil for knee action shocks, I have seen discussion on using hydraulic jack oil which is not a very heavy oil. I've also recently heard of using an oil product called Morey's Oil Stabilizer, which is as thick as honey. Does anyone have any recommendations or good/bad experiences with oils in their shocks? Robberbach
I use shock absorber oil that i bought at Carquest, also called jack oil. Yes it is thin, but you don't need a heavy oil in thare.
Guest Mr. Solutions
I asked a similar question some time ago... I also checked some of the back-posts, and the answers are varied.
Officially, you can buy the RIGHT oil from Bob's Automobilia @ US$7.50 / qt.
Personally, I followed the advise from one of the other posters & bought normal hydraulic jack oil, and it works like a charm.
You can also try motorcycle fork oil. The Old Guy
The thick oil will make the car ride so stiff you will think they welded the suspension solid
