Guest Posted April 4, 2004 Share Posted April 4, 2004 please i need info on where to get a float for a carb its a i barrel detroit lubricator off a 1926 Dodge bros, the float is cracked,has been soldered,the mechs manual says not to do this but i cleaned off all the old solder and redid it but would like to get a new or a least a good one, also who to go to about points ,condensers and distributor caps Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
nearchoclatetown Posted April 4, 2004 Share Posted April 4, 2004 My thought would be if you put a miminum of solder, and filed off all the excess, you should be alright. I have fixed some this way before.Try to make it as light as possible and float test it in gas before you put it back. As fot ignition parts, there was a guy on here a few months ago that had a bunch of NOS parts, forget the name. Do a search, you should find him, maybe from Idaho.
