Jyrki
I'm rebuilding a '46 320. The oil pump pickup is a pivoting (floating)one, so as to always suck the fresher oil on top the sump. I disassembled, cleaned and measured the pump and pickup screen. But now I'm wondering if there was, or should be a seal between the pickup tube and pump body, as otherwise it will suck air from the joint? critterpainter
Not an issue, unless you are WAY low on oil, the pivot is summerged in oil and will not suck air<BR>Bill
