Help in identifying master cylinder

I bought a new master cylinder at a swap meet from a

parts vendor for a 1948 Buick Special. Tried to install

it and the finished boss on the bolt holes is on the

wrong side. All I have for identification is the number

he used on the paperwork, E4363. On the casting there

is a number, B-135.

I haven't invested in a digital camera yet so can't

post a picture.

Any help will be appreciated.

Progoofoff:

Thanks for this information.

You seem to have some reference book on these, can you check for the numbers for the 1948 Buick Special, Model 46S.

This is a 2 door sedanet or torpedo back.

Thanks
