455 Conversion Question

I wouldn't buy anything for that th350 because it won't last long behind that 455. You could get it built to handle the torque, but for less money you could just buy a stock th400 and a new converter.

I have heard that the weakness in the th350 is in the second gear engagement. I guess if you do a lot of full throttle passes it can start to slip. It won't hurt anything to use the 350, and it is upgradeable. Just don't be heartbroken if it gernades.

Converter and flexplate chould be fine. You won't need to change anything. I ran a TH350 behind a 455 for 2 years and I ran it very hard. It held up well, but would start to slip after several runs. Get a front mounted tranny cooler and put a shift kit in it. It should last for a while. Upgrade to a 400 if it dies. Good luck!
