  1. What type of headers are they? Will they fit '70 Skylark?
  2. I looked at that thing and that thought briefly fashed through my mind, then I dismissed it...I may have to reexamine that. What a great idea! Anyone else?
  3. So I voluteer to change the plugs on the youth pastor's car...an '88 Regal. Front side, no problem...back side... What tools are best for this job? What has to be moved? I couldn't even get the dumb plug wires off! Too tight from the top and the bottom...Any suggestions?
  4. My dad has a '98 Park. He had the tranny fluyid changes 3000 miles ago. If you leave the line briskly, the tranny will shudder, somewhat violently. I thought it was wheel hop (on crosswalk paint) when it first happned. It only happens when the car is hot. Anyone know anything about this? Thanks!!
  5. Car is in excellent condition, has been an AZ car all of its life. Car was bought new in Prescott, AZ. I bought it 2.5 years ago from the second owner who only had it 6 months. At 40,000 miles Nick Micale went through the car to fix what was needed. Included in that service was new front springs, 4 new shocks and a radiator. Last summer a new GM compressor was installed and the A/C is ice cold. Options include PW, PL, Cruise, Tilt, T-Tops. Car is bone stock and beautiful with only 58,000 miles. I have the window sticker as well. Email for pics. Asking $12,000.

  7. Oh joy! I thought that was the case. Actually, the PS pump can stay on. You can reach the bolt/nut through the holes cleverly designed into the PS pulley...at least on this car you can. I'll tell Dad to go to the dealer. Sounds like too much fun for me! His '89 didn't have the mount in the way and it was a 5 minute job. I miss that car right now.
  8. How is this most easily replaced? I see the motor mount in the way! Does the engine need to be jacked up and the mount removed completely? There appears to be 4 bolts...two in the block and two on the chassis. What's the best way to proceed.
  9. Looking for Bill Sangster in Omaha. The last email address I have is no longer good. Any help is appreciated.
  10. Good news! Dad went to a place and they fixed it for $50. They put some sort of noise surpressor in. It beat the agggravation of the dealer. Thanks for your input on this one, guys.
  11. My father has a '98 Park Ave. The radio has interference on AM, a whine or static that increases with engine speed. The Buick dealer told him there was a bulletin out on this problem but refuses to help him out. The car is obviously out of warranty, but he would like it fixed. Can you verify the existance of the bulletin for this problem and suggest recourse? Thanks!
  12. The 60 lb spring only comes into play when the oil pressure exceeds 60 lbs. It's a high pressure relief spring, it will not increase oil pressure beyond what your engine can produce already. I wouldn't worry about that just yet.
  13. I drove up this morning in my GN. What a terrifc drive! The roads in the mountains were great. It was cool enough to pull out my T-Tops! I had my 7 year old daughter with me. We had a great day in the car and at the show. The was very little fire damage visible the way we came up from Globe. I would expect the show to grow next year. It sure was a nice cool place to go in the summer!
