Flames on Reatta

Recommended Posts

I am thinking about painting the old car and adding a custom

flame job. Has anyone ever seen a Reatta with flames and are there any

photos of what it looks like. I saw a Olds Toronado 92 with flames and it

really looked sharp. I will try to attach a photo to this post. Any comments

pro or con?????????

Just an opinion, but I think flames are a bit much. It is a matter of taste though. I have seen paint jobs that are awesome. Very flashy and attention grabbing. It is more of a rodder thing than preservation but what the heck. You can always repaint it later. I just hope you are doing it yourself because the cost is prohibitive in my book!

Just my .02. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

In my opinion flames are cliche' and way over done. I think on a classic car like the Reatta flames are a mistake and then it will look like a rice car, but if thats the look you are going for thats fine. From a designers standpoint I think some pin striping in the right places would look good. I often see the same graphics, including flames, on a lot of cars. I would go with custom vinal graphics. Most places can cut custom vinal graphics easily, you or they whould just have to take the extra time to draw it on whatever computer program they use. Cheaper, and they can always be taken off.
